FALCON AVIATION OPENS FBO AT DUBAI SOUTH

Abu Dhabi’s Falcon Aviation is to open its first FBO at Al Maktoum International (DWC), Dubai South and is looking to make its mark with a three-pronged project strategy aimed at positioning it as the VVIP service leader.

The FBO is the first Falcon investment at DWC – the second, a 15,000 square metre, VIP Jet maintenance hangar and parking facility is due to open in 18 months.

“Our strategy is to provide a totally integrated service approach, firstly by providing the FBO facilities for jet operators and owners, secondly to support that through the hangarage and onsite MRO services and lastly by providing helicopter transfers within Dubai and to Abu Dhabi and other emirates via our adjacent heliport,” said Captain Raman Oberoi, Falcon’s chief operation officer.

Falcon’s 1,000 square metre, state-of-the-art FBO has been designed, with full Board-level input, to set a new benchmark in luxury. It boasts two private VIP lounges, both with en-suite bathrooms, a refreshment bar and coffee bar, cigar lounge, modern boardroom-style meeting facilities; prayer rooms, shower facilities, access to Al Maktoum’s VIP Terminal Duty Free, on-site customs and immigration support and secure baggage storage. There’s even a kids’ play room and a small pets’ room.

There’s a dedicated first-class crew area complete with its own lounge, shower and snooze rooms and work stations.

“We will provide a totally seamless, fast, efficient and smooth service with full ground handling support from landing to take-off,” said Oberoi
